CSP Oil Immersed Circuit Breakers

For 57.4MM mounting hole size Completely Self-Protected(CSP) Oil immersed Distribution Transformers.

Ketrans CSP circuit breaker, an oil-immersed circuit breaker uses oil for insulation and arc extinction to protect electrical systems from faults. Provides secondary fault and overload protection to the transformer.

CSP circuit breakers make CSP transformers superior to traditional transformers:

The CSP circuit breaker provides the entire over-current, over-load, fault current, and earth fault protection to the transformer through its built-in thermal tripping and magnetic tripping mechanisms, as well as signal light circuit.

Produced in strict accordance with various international standards and delivered after series professional and rigorous tests:

Submitted to a battery of tests including: Interruption capability test, insulation and di-electric test, calibration repeatability test, electrical resistance test, thermal and mechanical stability test, power frequency test, lightning impluse test.

Easier Maintenance and Simpler Installation:

Breaker on bracket, easy for installation. With reset function (emergency function button), easy for maintenance. In the long run, the comprehensive usage cost over the entire life cycle is more competitive. Greatly reduced some extra costs for business owners

Understanding CSP System Technology

Complete self-protected technology is a protection system for distribution transformers.Protects the transformers from lightning, secondary faults, severe overloads and provides visual warning for abnormal loading conditions. There are several CSP system components such as the lighting arrester, current fuse link and the low voltage breaker.

Understanding CSP Circuit Breaker

The low voltage LV circuit breaker is the central component of CSP system Technology. Provides secondary fault and overload protection to the transformer. Mounted inside of the transformer and it is connected between the secondary winding and secondary bushing.

Technical Details for oil-immersed CSP Circuit Breaker

The CSP breaker is connected to the transformer between the low-voltage winding and the internal terminals of the secondary bushing. The connections are arranged so that the secondary load current passes through both the breaker’s bi-metal element and the contacts. This configuration allows proper monitoring of the transformer’s secondary current and load levels.

The breaker is available with two optional auxiliary features: a signal light contact and an emergency control setting.

The signal light contact is connected to the signal light circuit to provide an early warning of transformer overload. The signal light operates on approximately 4 to 6 volts, supplied by an auxiliary winding consisting of one or two turns through the core. (This signal contact is optional and should be specified if required.)

The emergency control mechanism is a mechanical linkage inside the breaker that shifts it to a higher temperature calibration setting when moved into the emergency position. (This feature is also optional and should be specified if desired.)

How to select the right CSP circuit breaker for your transformer?

When selecting the right CSP circuit breaker, provide the following information:

♦️Transformer oil tank shape: Pole Mounted or Pad Mounted transformer?

♦️Number of Poles: Single phase 2 poles or three phase 3 pole?

♦️Transformer capacity(KVA): 5KVA,10KVA,25KVA…..

♦️Transformer voltage(V): high and low voltage value

♦️Transformer impedance(%): Short circuit impedance
